NWI Make a Difference Foundation, Inc. receives, manages, and disburses funds for grassroots recovery and community-support efforts across the region — starting with our neighbors in Newton County.
NWI MAD serves as the fiscal agent for the Newton County Long-Term Recovery Group (NC-LTRG), a community-led coalition coordinating case management, rebuilding, and unmet-needs assistance for families affected by the tornado. NC-LTRG makes every programmatic decision locally; NWI MAD holds and disburses the funds behind it.
Visit the NC-LTRG pageCommunity recovery groups we sponsor — like NC-LTRG — decide who gets help, how much, and when. NWI MAD does not direct case decisions, eligibility calls, or program priorities.
NWI MAD holds a dedicated account for each program, reviews and authorizes every disbursement, issues donor receipts, and reports finances back to the group on a regular schedule — so donors and grantors can trust exactly where funds go.
NWI Make a Difference Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation exempt under Section 501(c)(3). A completed IRS Form W-9 is available to any donor or grantor on request.
